How far is it to the beach? - Can I walk to the beach?
- We border the PEI National Park but we are not right on the beach. There are two ways to get there...
- you can walk about a 5 to 7 minute walk to the west (out the lane and to the left) to a red clay lane that winds down to the shore road and beaches. All in all about a 12 to 15 minute walk to get to the shore (we have a map drawn up that you can have).
- you can hop in your car and head for any one of 3 toll-gated entrances to the park... the central entrance is nearest us at just about a 2 minute car ride to the west and as a little welcome to our guests, we provide you with a complimentary Beach pass.
How much does it cost to get into the Beaches or National Parks?
- Again this season while we build our pool, it will be FREEto enter the national park or go to the beach when you stay with us!! (a $20 a day or about $100 per week savings for your family)
- This pass is also good for the 2 other national parks on PEI too so you can explore them as well while you stay with us.
Do you have a crib/highchair available?
- complimentary use of highchairs, playpens, rocking chairs and strollers
- available on a "first come first served" basis
What's the main difference between a "Standard " and an "Executive" cottage?
Our Executive Cottages offer...

One of the most popular highlights of our 3 Executive Deluxe cottages has been their view. They each enjoy a panoramic front row view of the reds, golds and greens and not to forget the blues of this pretty little Island: a gorgeous panorama of rolling fields and rich red PEI soil as it rolls away to meet the azure blue waves of the Gulf of St Lawrence are yours for the viewing in every direction you look.
When is check in time?
- Check-in-time - 3:00 PM
- Check-out-time - 10:00 AM
- If you find yourself in the Cavendish area early, please give us a call. Depending on the time of year and/or previous guest's check-out time, we may be able to speed things up for your earlier check-in.
- At Dreams To Sea we do not hold a strict check-in and check-out time as do most accomodation businesses. We just aim to keep our reservation schedule smoothly flowing so that we can be ready for each guest as they arrive. Earlier or extended check in /out times are entertained whenever possible folks. Please dont hesitate to inquire.

Do I need to bring towels?
- Complimentary Towel Freshening Service
- We do ask that you "not" take DTSC towels to the beach. Please bring your own beach towels or rent one for $1 at the office (all proceeds to Children's Charities).
"I stayed in cottage #4 last year... so I wonder if I can request that specific cottage again this year?"
- At Dreams To Sea we try our best to consider all such requests however our policy is such that we cannot guarantee specific standard or executive cottage requests. In order to keep our reservation board flowing smoothly (without gaps and holes here and there) and in order to accommodate all guest's preferred dates, we cannot promise a specific cottage. We do note requests on your reservation and make every effort to accommodate you when we can.
Do you have internet?
- Highspeed internet corner at the office...use by donation to the Children's Wish Foundation
- Wifi available as of 2010.
- Internet Access Rates are set at $12 "per stay". (This is not per day but a one time per stay charge)
